Meet the Red Roamer Adventures Team

Hi!

We’re Tomasz and Yovana, a couple with a long-time dream of hitting the road and living simply, freely, and fully. That dream took an unexpected turn when we accidentally won a retired ambulance at an auction on April 20, 2023. Instead of backing out, we jumped right in, we started in May 2023 and spent the next 15 months turning it into our dream home on wheels.

It all started by placing a bid on a rig that we didn't think we would win, low and behold we won it. Then came the project of completely gutting it, we're talking about removing all the cabinets, the walls, insulation, all the wiring, the floor, and the screws that were impossible to remove that we had to end up grinding them out. Having our layout ready, we got to measuring, cutting, sanding, and painting wood to build our cabinets and furniture. After choosing the perfect colors and stains, the Red Roamer was starting to look like our vision coming to life.

With the arrival of 2025, Red Roamer stood ready, a symbol of freedom, adventure, and the road ahead. We then spent our time working as much as we could before putting in our notices at work and selling all of our belongings, to be able to have enough funds to start on this journey. February 2025 was the end of our "9-5" lives and the beginning of our hopes and dreams turned into reality. That brings us to our current state.

Our journey began with a trip to Big Bend National Park, a bucket-list destination and the perfect place to kick off this new chapter. Now, we’re heading north to Alaska to begin the adventure of a lifetime: driving the Pan-American Highway from top to bottom.

We’re sharing the whole experience—every detour, campsite, ups and downs, and cup of coffee with a view—Red Roamer Adventures is all about the journey and we’re so happy to have you along for the ride.
